Today marks the launch of our e-book, Adult Guide: Health Screening and Prevention. This is a project years in the making, and while I’ve already had a number of medical professionals thank me for the physical copies I sent out in anticipation of this event, this book was really made for you, the layperson. I’m incredibly happy to finally be ready to offer it to the public.
The goal of this e-book should be clear: to give you the tools you need to better understand and control your own health and the care you receive. It is a simple fact that doctors and nurses can never know your body as well as you can, and furthermore even the best medical professionals are unable to keep track of every single test, procedure, vaccine, and followup that your body demands over the course of your life.
Adult Guide: Health Screening and Prevention provides detailed charts and explanations to inform you of every screening exam and preventive doctor’s visit that you should schedule and the precise ages you should have these procedures scheduled. It explains what preventive measures are advised and why, along with what you can do yourself to avoid many common, yet potentially deadly, diseases and ailments.
Much of the information found on this site is explored in greater detail in the book. In other cases we will be using this site to highlight other diseases not covered in the book, to post updates on screening and prevention recommendations, and more.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope (and truly believe) you’ll find the information invaluable for staying healthy, happy, and in control of your own health!
